www.git.edu.mt | Making Disciples and Equipping Them February 2013 Bringing Affordable Education Home to YOU Worship of God (MIN3052/3—Credit: 2–3 hours) This course is designed to give a clear understanding of what Christian worship is when it is directed by the Holy Spirit. Basic to an understanding of worship is an understanding of who God is, what He is like, and why He wants us to worship Him. The necessity, values, and results of worship are discussed, and biblical models of worship are presented as guidelines for both individual and corporate worship. The course gives practical instruction in leading group worship by following biblical guidelines. It also encourages personal development and growth in devotional worship.
Worship lies in the heart of man. All kind of faiths and philosophies worship someone or something. Christians believe the Bible and understand that worship belongs only to God, Yahweh, the Creator of the heavens and the earth. Not every kind of worship is accepted by God. The kind of worship God accepts is that which comes from a clean heart, and spirit led. Because humanity is limited, we understand the things of the Spirit only as God reveals them to us. That makes the Bible, God’s written revelation, the source-book for understanding true worship. Therefore, the course featured this month  sinks its roots deep into the Word of God for models to follow, regulations to adopt, and concepts to accept. I recommend this course to all those involved in leading worship and to all those who have worship close to their heart.

Some testified how the speaker, Pastor Curtis Thomassen helped them to re- dedicate themselves to the reading of the Bible. Marriage Enhancement Seminar GIT organized a two evening seminar with the purpose to enhance marriages and provide the opportunity to the attendees to further their learning concerning marriage. The speaker was Dr. Al-Hank Rekers Ph.d; Dr. Theol,. He gave spoke on several aspects of what makes a bad marriage and good marriage. Studying at Global Institute of Theology (Malta) is both challenging and exciting for me. I am grateful for my Pastor who has encouraged me to undertake the Bible Interpreter Undergraduate Certificate. Currently I am doing my fourth course which is 'Old Testament Literature'. So far I have found each course very interesting and have learnt a lot and this is enabling me to interpret the Bible more correctly. Each module has given me deeper insight into God's Word and is helping me in enriching my personal knowledge and having a better understanding of the Bible. The knowledge I have gained so far is helping me to share the scriptures with others, and also in my own spiritual growth. The lessons are clearly explained, the material is very good and our lecturers are very helpful and make the lessons even more interesting! I look forward to learn more about God's Word in the courses that follow and I encourage anyone who would like to learn the Word of God more profoundly, to attend these courses.
