Summer is nearly over, and we are all now setting our minds to
adapt to the new season which lead to us to Christmas and the New
Year. I strongly believe, with many other believers in Malta, that God wants to
bring a new season to the spiritual life on the Island. Those who believe this must
also be ready for it. This is one of the reasons GIT is working hard to provide the
ministry training necessary to welcome the spiritual awakening we are all craving
for. Besides the courses individuals are taking, we are also preparing instructors to
teach courses which lead to an undergraduate certificate in Biblical Interpretation.
This will start in January. Now is the time to start informing us about your intentions.
Besides lay teachers, the Church would need pastors or assistant. The course we
are featuring this month prepares those whom
God called for this ministry.

In my 38 years as a Christian I have been
reading the Bible regularly. The older I get I
realise how much more there is to learn.
There are so many golden nuggets in the
Word of God and I am still discovering these
as I dig deeply into it.
Lately, I have been studying with
University and I have found their
courses so helpful in
understanding better the Word
of God. I recommend such
courses because they are well
planned and very
informative. I find it very
convenient to attend a two hour lesson
once a week and then dedicate a few
hours in the week to study at home.
I believe that every Christian needs to
study the Word of God to understand
more of God's nature, His wonderful
plan of Salvation and His will for our
lives. The knowledge of the Word of
God equips every Christian to be a
worker for the building up of the Body
Christ. Even for those who are getting on
in age it is never too late for them to study! We
will still be learners till the day we die. I
encourage those who are still young to follow
the advice of the Apostle Paul to Timothy, that
is, to "Study (the scriptures) to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that needs
not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." I thank all the excellent teachers
who teach us these courses.
January 2012 will give start to an
undergraduate certificate in Biblical
interpretation. Meanwhile, 5
students, which are pastors, elders,
and teacher from different churches
are being prepared and trained to
teach these courses. On of them is
Ian Grech. He presented lesson 4
from the Life of Christ in an
