I first begin to apologize for not sending June’s newsletter in time. I assure you that this was not because we do not have news to share with you. On the contrary, we are getting more and more busy involved in Christian education in Malta. As you will read in June/July news letter, we have very exciting news to share with you. GIT is totally committed to make it possible for everyone to have the opportunity to study in academic level, the Bible and theology, leadership, practical theology, and other disciplines needed by the men and women who want to serve God. This is because we believe so much in Christian education and want to make it available to many as possible. This initiative was also approved by Rev. Paul Trementozzi and Dr. B. Rose when they where in Malta last May. An invitation was issued to all local pastors for a meeting which took place Friday 20, June 2011. Those present all supported the initiative and wanted to be involved also in the teachings required to complete the program. THE BIBLICAL ROLE OF WOMEN This course is now two lessons far from its completion. Pastor Josie Stevenson has done a marvellous work. We shall publish few testimonies from both men and woman who had their eyes opened to the sound Biblical doctrine of God’s plan for women not just in church, but also in life outside the church. CONGRATULATIONS We wish to congratulate our director for recently completing his M.A. degree. He is now going to embark for a M.Div degree this September. We wish him the best and may our prayers make it easier for him. t issue: 13  UNDERGRADUATE CERTIFICATE IN BIBLE INTERPRETATION Monday 9, January 2012 will give start to a program which will award an undergraduate certificate to all students who will successfully complete the eight undergraduate courses required. This program will be spread over the period of two and half years; one lesson every Monday. This program will help Bible students learn principles of Biblical interpretation, through a number of courses. The program will accomplish its goal by teaching the students sound exegetical and hermeneutical principles, a study of the Life of Christ from the Synoptic gospels, a thorough study in both Testaments, an understanding of the Bible and its relation to the Church and a course in anthropology describing man and sin.
